Paddle Bash 2010 - starts this Friday Feb 5th !

2010 Summer series Paddle Bash starts Feb 5 with a 3km "sprint".
It's a great way to help your fitness and meet fellow members over a BYO BBQ and coldies and chat after the race.

Races are time trial based and you get extra points for beating your PB - so you can easily monitor your own progress throughout the year. The races distance vary from 3, 6, 11 and 18km, with shorter races more frequent.

There are three categories which are:
- Plastic ( both long and short )
- Composites K1
- Molokia

Paddlers must register and nominate a class before the race.
First grids can start by 6.20.
You will need a light from April onwards.

10 year old Louis Richardson was one of four Swan juniors who competed in the national whitewater slalom champs in Victoria recently - all won gold medals.
